Lava is molten rock that flows from the depths of a terrestrial planet like Earth. Originating in the mantle, it is formed from magma that rises to the surface, re- leasing its trapped gases. Its flow can vary in speed, thickness, and direction, shaping the land in unpre-dictable ways.

Lava is the heartbeat of a restless planet, a force of nature that sculpts the Earth’s surface. As it cools and solidifies, it forges new landscapes, a constant reminder of the planet’s dynamic inner life.
