Athens, though close to the sea, feels distant from it. Water is not integrated into the city's urban planning but serves instead as a strict boundary. To dissolve this division, the room becomes "flooded," with sections of the floor sinking to create shallow pools. Furniture is designed as islands, crafted from sleek, geometric forms of pristine white Greek marble. Through two large openings, the chaotic pulse of the city flows into the serene interior, creating a striking contrast between the room’s pure, minimalist aesthetic and the urban energy outside. The traveler is immersed in a reimagined paradise—water, greenery, and soft white light evoke the quintessential Greek ideal, offering a moment of tranquility amidst the vibrant heart of Athens.
